Sorry for the noob (to LAN) question but I couldn't find an answer(and got confused) when searching the archives. I just bought a D-Link Router. I haven't hooked it up yet. It features an "Active Firewall". Will this enhance or conflict with the firewalls on my computers? The Router will be wired to my desk-top (XP-home) via DSL modem and will have a wireless connection to my wife's notebook (Vista Home Premium). On both computers I'm running Norton firewalls.

They will not conflict with each other. Because they are both running in completely different environments each is not aware of the existence of the other.
Two firewalls on your computer like Norton and Zone Alarm could cause you problems.

The router's features, if used correctly, may improve your lan security. It may improve internet speed. If it isn't used properly you might as well secure your system with bubblegum.
Read up on the features. It is much better to block too much and then have to open. Close the door before the horse is out.
I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you peanut.
