Not sure if i'm posting this in the correct forum, but here goes. I have several computers hooked up to a linksys router. If computer #1 gets turned on first, then i can use mIRC to dcc files. But if my other computer is turned on first, then this computer can no longer dcc files. I fixed this ( with linksys tech support help ), by going into "local area connections", clicking on TCP/IP, clicking on "properties", and then marking "Use the following IP address", and in there putting in an address that ended with 20 ( instead of the normal 100, 101, 102 etc ). They also had me enter a DNS server address. They then had me go into my linksys setup and use the number 20 in the IP adress, to open a port for mIRC.

All this worked nicely.... and now no matter whether this is the first computer or the last computer to be booted up.... it can do a dcc when in mIRC.

Now the problem... I have noticed, since i have done this, that when i use IE or NETSCAPE, to go to websites, many times when i access a site from my "favorites", the browser just sits and spins its wheels, and then tells me the url is no good.... BUT, if i try to access the same url again, it will then instantly access the page. It's not really a big problem, but kind of annoying. Can someone tell me what i am doing wrong?
