I have recently installed Linksys BEFSR41. Now I cannot send email. I have spoken to Linsys tech help people 3 times now and finally they said the cannot help me. When I select Outlook Express (ver.6)the following message appears: "An unknown error has occurred. Protocol: SMTP, Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800C013B". Email is recieved but I cannot send. I am beginning to suspect I will have to re-install either or both Outlook Express and my email account. I am afraid I will lose all my contact addresses and received email files. Any suggestions?

Hi,

I have the same router you are using, and have no problems using my outlook express. Are you sure that your email settings are correct? Make sure SMTP settings are correct, that is the server responsiable for outgoing mail. Hope this help :)

The proper settings for Rogers behind a router are tp set your:

POP3 in your email program to pop.broadband.rogers.com
SMTP
smtp.broadband.rogers.com

this should allow your router to access the email ports behind the firewall
