Hi,

We use roaming profiles on work and now we got some new laptops which go via wireless network, they can log in & get their roaming profiles, but once i log off, it says that its closing connections & then it tries to save the roaming profile...(which obviciously fails) how is that possible if the network connection is closed???!!

Has anyone a solution to make it like that it first saves the roaming profile & then closes the connection??

thx in advance,

Michael

"closing connection" does not mean that the connection is closed, it is closing, part of which is to save the profile, it will not close the connection until this is done (or failed!). I use a very similar setup and it works fine without any extra config!
Try logging off the user before shutting down if you havent already, also check the server is setup to allow users to save profiles!
You do not mention the make/type of your wireless cards? It may be a specific problem with them, I use 3Com and have no problems whatsoever saving roaming profiles.

Thx for the reply,

Well, the wireless nic is a Intel Pro/Wireless 2200 BG.

And the problem is still that it doesnt save the roaming profile, when i use the normal nic on the laptop it shutsdown correctly without error message, but when i switch to wireless and try to logoff/shutdown then i get the message that it didnt save it because there wasnt a connection.

Thx in advance.

Michael
