Hi,

I keep coming up with this error on my PC.

'Windows cannot update your roaming profile. Possible causes of this error include network problems or insufficient security rights. If this problem persists, contact your network administrator.'

The scirpts for the network I am on were written for 2000 but I am running Xp, does that make a difference.

Can anyone help, it says contact the system administratorbut he doesn't have a clue (basically he's an idiot)

My PC has (I think) 128MB RAM, 1285 MHz Processor, 40GB Hardrive and OS is Windows Xp Professional.

Thanks in advance

Roaming profile has nothing to do with scripts. It has to do with Profiles.

What more than likely hapened is you lost, deleated or otherwise destroyed your Default User profile. Do a search for Profiles and open the folder. On the network you will have Your local machine ADMIN login and your Network ADMIN login. These are two seperate profiles. You also will have an all users and a Default user profile. If you do not have a default users Profile, everytime you login the computer will set you up with a new profile.

Log in as administrator and connect to a machine on the network and copy the Default user profile to your Profiles folder. Reboot log back in and everything should be fine.

I had this problem on one of the machines on my network. If this does not work, post back and we can try one other thing.
