Hi

We have a windows XP machine which is acting as a file server with a number of directories on it. What I want to do is set the directories so that users can read / write to them but only administrators can delete or move those directories. We are running a 2003 server which has this machine linked to it. How can we do this?

As far as I know, write access includes deleting and moving although they wouldn't be able to move it to a directory where they didn't have write access.

You can give the users Read and Write but not Modify if you don't want them to be able to change files or delete them.

Life's more painless for the brainless.
