To make a long story short. I tried to fix me neighbors router. And I told him he need to create a new Admin username and password. Well he mad both the Admin and User the same name and passwords. So now when he long is it log under the User not the Admin account. Like I said long story short. Is there a way for me to hack in change it so change the names remotely?

I know about the whole hold the button for 10 sec ect... Well that's not and options. He hates me for for some reason and want to blame this on me. I just want to make it right so I don't ever hear about it again.

Or is there a backdoor user name and password?

Well since you are doing your neighbor a favor then why don't you just go to his house and change it manually. It'll be really bad if we tech you a hacking method like this and it's illegal.

I would go over there and do it myself but breaking and entering is illegal as well.

So why cant the neighbour do it himself, it is not complicated.

Besides, routers don't have Admin and User accounts, just the one account for everybody.

There's no way to do it remotely. The only way you can reset the router to the factory defaults is by holding in the reset button.

Tell the neighbour how to do it and have done with it....and him.
