i have windows 2003 server as a router ...now a days while pinging in local itself its going to 50 ms sometimes.....can i change that particular network card....One is on board and the other is Dax network card...i want to change the dax network card by another Dax card...can i so this....will there b any issues....kindly help

large ping times are not related to the nic. If it were a jabber you would get ping failures

I would suggest to use a sniffer, to figure out, what hardware is responsable for that "jabber".

or its a poorly designed network with no name resolution going on.
