My husband has all of our computers networked - he is a computer consultant. We are going thru a nasty divorce and I suspect he is spying on me thru my laptop. First, can I remove laptop from network? Second, will a spyware program find out if he is spying on me?

Feel sorry to hear that.. If you suspect he installed some spyware or monitoring tools on your laptop and it's difficult to detect, the best way is backup those important files, reformat the laptop and have new Windows Vista installation. Just my two cents..

Disconnect your laptop from the network when not in use. If possible use another network. It is impossible to keep a person from spying on a shared network.

How could he spy on you through the network? Does he know your IP Address? Assuming of course that you're not sharing a home/network.
