remote user cant login after passwo

Specs: win xp, p4/256
Hi:
We have a person who works from home and the other day he could not login via vpn.

I changed his password.

He is still unable to connect to vpn using his new password.

Does he have to go into the office and login to the domain one time so it can sync with the server??

I can login from the office with his username and password?

Thanks

What happens if you change it back and let him change it over the VPN? Why did you change it in the first place?

What error does he get? As long as he's using the correct password for VPN and he has an active Internet connection, it should work.

The error was wrong password and username. Again if I logon as him in the office the password I setup for him works fine.

I thought there was a scenario where you had to go to your office and login locally to the network so things will sync up?

No. Not if you're entering the proper credentials in the VPN login screen.

Suppose the remote user either tries to connect using another machine or he clears all caches and related data?

Even trying another computer it does not work.

However in the office I logged in with his username and password.

Then something is still cached in the VPN software. It didn't update properly.
