Remote shutdown over a wireless network

Specs: Windows Vista SP2 & Windows XP SP3

So i want to remotely shutdown my wired desktop computer which is running windows xp sp3 from my wireless laptop which is running windows vista sp2.
Can anyone tell me how i would go about this?

If wired or wireless does not matter. How are they connected is more important

They are both connected to my wireless router, teh desktop via lan cable and the laptop via wireless.

As Wanderer said, shutdown.exe works well. Another easy way to do this is to use Karen's Showstopper. Put the program on the remote computer and put a shortcut to the program on the desktop or quicklaunch bar. Then when you RDP in the computer, you can just click on the icon and it will shutdown or reboot depending on how you set it up.
