I would like to set up a network over the internet to reach my uncle's computer. Hey has DSL and I have cable. We both want to be able to share files and such stuff. How could we set up the network. Would it interfear with my current home network? Thanks in advance.

get on Windows 2000 and set up "incoming connections" this will allow for someone to connect remotely, similar to a VPN type connection. Not sure if ME can do this actually I am pretty sure it won't.

Summary: That involes lots of work with remote networking because you have to set up ras, and get it there, and map drive there.... There is one quick solution, get a copy of vnc or tightvnc. It's a freeware ...
