Uncle Desmond is a boss of a company and has 5 Static IP Addresses, so I've given him a computer running Windows Server 2003, where he gave me a Free Static IP Address connected to that computer. The bandwidth is plenty since his company is next to the ISP center, but IDK the speed. From what I tested, it was FAST. That computer does NOT have a router behind it and I did not have any security issues yet, especially when the only active port is Port 3389, which is Remote Desktop.
Back here at my house, I host a Web Site and an Exchange Server. I had enough of this residental trap I am in and I don't have money for myself to get Static IP. Right now I have Comcast and I can freely host a website with ease as well as Email, but I am NOT ALLOWED TO DO THAT TECHNICALLY. Now, when I switch to FiOS which apprears to be cheaper and more faster than Comcast, they BLOCK ALL SERVER PORTS just for what I do. FiOS even has a special router when I don't even need one, that Router would MAKE SURE my Internet IP changes so that I can get Dynamic IP instead of Static IP, like Comcast.
Now, here is my plan. It doesn't matter what ISP I have. I heard about BitVise WINSSHD and Tunnelier and that simple free software can solve my issue.
Lets say I get FiOS with most Professional Ports blocked, like Port 80, 25, etc. Now since I have a server on Uncle Desmonds side, basically, I can remote desktop into it, install WINSSHD free version, configure it to listen to Port 4000 or something, THEN on my side, Install Tunnelier, forward my ports like I would do on my Router, then connect to WINSSHD on Uncle Desmond's side through Port 6000, then I get the Same Freedom of Static IP! Of course there are bandwidth limitations when doing this, but most of the time, it doesn't even matter.
I don't need to even open any ports on MY router either. I just need to make sure I set up the router properlly and make sure the Verizon router doesn't interfere with my Network Subnet.
My Public Domain Name basically points to my IP Address. When I do this, it won't be pointing to my Verizon FiOS IP address for the obvious reason, but it would be pointing to the IP Address to the server on Uncle Desmonds side.
Please tell me what you think about my new plan, weather its a good idea or not.
My old signature is NOT Repetative and you are wrong if you think that.

Why can't you just leave the web site on the server at Uncle Desmond's company? You'll still have remote access and you don't have to do all that tunneling.

Guapo, thats actually a good point. My Web and Email Stuff is on the hard drive on My Servers on My Side of the network, plus it is on a domain, so I need it in my network and not remote. I want to be able to host my website right out of my documents instead on a location where i have to upload constantly.

You have to decide what suits you better, tunneling or uploading. Try the tunnel first and change it if you don't like it.
You still maybe able to run your Exchange Server on your side even if you put the web site on Uncle Desmond's server.
I did a quick search on Google for:
remote exchange server and there were a lot of hits.
