Ok I am trying to use remote desktop thru a wireless internet connection using PPPoE and a d-link DI-624 router.
Now I have had this working and the inlaws and when the pc is at my house I can remote desktop to it but when at the inlaws I can't. Any suggestions?
All ports, (3391) I changed default, are forwarded to the IP
1. No firewall 2. No music sharing software 3. Attached is an url with screenshots of the setup on the router http://members.shaw.ca/yz426f/ppp/
You need firewall at all times. You also need to make sure that you allow Port 80 and Port (whatever RDP mapped to) is NATed at each side to work. Some ISP's might block your new port number too.

Hi pwrmngr, did you find a solution yet? If so, will you please share it with me? I am having same problem using Windows RDP behind the DI-624. I went thru the problem with Dlink tech support for several hours but still couldn't solve my problem. Thanks in advance.
