Hi all,

Scenario: Computer1: work (Win98SE)
Computer2: home (XP, home edition)
Computer3: home (Win98SE)

Home computers are behind a Linksys wireless router connected to the internet via cable modem. NO problems accessing the internet with either machine.
Work computer accesses the internet thru a Netopia router over a fractional T1 line. NO problems here either.

All 3 machines have pcAnywhere 10.5.1 installed.

I CAN:
1) put comp1 in HOST mode and run from comp2
2) put comp1 in HOST mode and run from comp3
3) put comp2 in HOST mode and run from comp1
4) put comp2 in HOST mode and run from comp3
5) put comp3 in HOST mode and run from comp2

PROBLEM:

I CAN’T:
1) put comp3 in HOST mode and run from comp1

Any ideas why not? When I leave for work I put both home comp’s in HOST mode behind the Linksys router, but I can only REMOTE to comp2.

This is driving me nuts!!

Please help,

Thanks, bulloney

I use PCA daily, try getting into Comp2 then controlling comp3 from comp2. Since you come through a router for the other 2 computers you can only go into 1 PC then you can hop around the network. Unless you change the port numbers that comp3 uses and forward those ports to comp3's IP and change the ports on the remote connection on the work PC to use the other set of ports. This might sound confusing, but read it a few times and you will get it. If not click on my name and email me..
