Hi,
Am not much proficient in networking tech but i manage to work in it.
We have DSL connection and i wanted to remote access the m/c which has both internal and external IP address. The scenario is like this...I have 2 DSL connected in 2 different locations (central-m/c & m/c-1). I have installed RemoteAdmin S/W on both the locations.Note: There will be an icon of RemoteAdmin S/W in the system tray, when doubleclick it shows the ip adrs of the remote pc connected to it.
I connected (central-m/c) from (m/c-1) thro remote admin s/w using the external IP Address. It worked fine.
So the next time i tried connecting (m/c-1) from (central-m/c) using its external IP but could not able to connect. why?? Infact both have got external ip address. I can ping the ip on both the sides. guide me plz to come over the problems.
Issue No2::::In one location Dlink internet server is installed in machine (IS-1) and it connects to a remote server (central-m/c) thro RAS for internet connection. On the remote server(central-m/c)DHCP is enabled.
so when outside m/c (IS-1) connects thro RAS, (IS-1) ip add is visible in (central-m/c) and can able to ping (central-m/c) from (IS-1) vice versa. Now i can remote access the (central-m/c) from (IS-1) but could not access (IS-1) from (central-m/c)..why????
Since DHCP is enabled every PC connecting to it comes under DHCP network ip addr and can able to ping it perfectly.Note: In RAS the IP being shown is Internet server Gateway IP connecting to it.
