Hi guys,

Just a quick question,

In The UK British Telecom use "GotoAssist" which when they use it they can access a users PC remotely.

How it works is, they send you to a web page (www .bt .com/gta) and the give you a code to enter, then the user has to run a small aplet.

GotoAssist is VERY expensive, does anyone know of any alternative to this?

Someone suggested Logmein but it seems that I have to physically install the remote software on the end users PC to be able to use this!

Any ideas anyone???

Thank you

Remote desktop maybe.

A few messengers do it.

Things like VNC.

Any number of pcanywhere products.

If you only need files there are plenty of ways too.

It is almost impossible to even use a search to find all the products and solutions.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10

You can use NeoRouter (www.neorouter.com). It's free and has more features. Basically it creates a virtual LAN over the Internet for you, so that you can access remote pc using VNC or windows remote desktop, access the remote shared folders, printer and so on.

Check it out. :)
