I was looking for FREE remote access program. I see that Logmein is free and reviews say it works well. But it doesn't say if i have to put software on both computers or just my home computer and can access it from any other computer by logging on their web site.I wanted to see if i could find out before installing it. I can't put software on my work computer but would like to be able to access my home computer from anywhere.

Talk to your company's IT department. They may have blocked any apps or ports already. Usually they have normal business apps open like Remote Desktop or RDP web connection. Some of the messengers have some sort of RDP. Any of the VNC's work but to tunnel SSH you need some know how and again your IT department's support. If all you want to do is use files then consider Barracudadrive to share files on http port 80. Unless they have a very advanced system they wouldn't be able to block it.
