Hello, I have set up a network between my XP pc and my 95 pc. I installed realVNC so that I could use remotely access.

The XP pc has multiple users and I wondered if it was possible to remotely access one user area whilst someone is using the XP pc on their own area. In other words have two people using the same pc on different areas but one accessing it remotely.

Are you using Remote Desktop Access to do your (so-called) remote login? If so, to my knowledge, the way this client works in XP, you have a _one_time_ license which enables you to connect to one machine at a time, unless you have a server machine in which the default is 4, I believe...It's a license issue, and additional seats can be purchased from Micro$oft.

I am not sure this helps, but there it goes anywasy....

good luck....happy new year!! :)

Thanks, I did try Remote access desktop before but it didn't work. I think it is for connecting to windows XP pro machines and mine's XP home. Or could have been because I was connecting from a windows 95 machine.

Thanks for your reply and Happy New Year, Acsell
