How would I know if my ISP registers MAC addresses? If it helps my ISP is cogeco. I know i'm sorry for myself but cogeco is cheap and in my area.

if your using broadband then the answer is yes.if dial up the answer is no.in order to recognise your PC your ISP will need to have your MAC address registered with its DHCP server in order to lease you an IP address.if your using a dial up u wnt be using a DHCP as such more likely a PPP connection via the your telephone line.or better still ring tech support and ask them!!
