Hi Folks,

We currently have our mailing application (Critical Path) running on Red Hat server with the following Network Address for eth0:

IP: 10.216.64.20
Subnet Mask: 255.255.240.0
Gateway: 10.216.64.1

We require email clients (Thunderbird) from another network to access their respective mail box, we have configured the second NIC for eth1:

IP Address: 128.2.7.234
Gateway: 128.2.7.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

The email clients connected from the above network are able to receive their emails, however sending emails fails complaining about smtp not configured right. Any help to resolve the issue would be greatly appreciated.

Wouldn't your subnet mask for eth1 be 255.255.0.0 since it's a class B network?
