Hi folks, I am running pirated WIN 98 second edition in Compaq Presario model 1625 laptop, but when I am trying to watch the free web surfing internet by wireless network adapter, it won’t let me view my yahoo mail account, as soon as I get into my yahoo account, the red cautioned I explore message popsup “This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If the problem persists, contact the program vendor.” Any way after I press the ok button another message popsup from Microsoft Internet explorer “ There was an internal error and one of the windows you were using will be closed. It is recommended that you save your work, close all programs, and then restart your computer.” Thanks for your answer!

The illegal operation error has nothing to do with your pirated version of 98. It's probably a scripting error in the browser. You need to upgrade, at least to Windows 2000 and maybe new hardware as well.

If the drivers aren't available, then it's time for a new machine. You've been quite lucky to have kept the laptop running for so long.

That's ok. Do you think you are going to get a different answer anywhere else? Your machine has outlived it's usefulness.
