Hi. We had a network set up that had two computers, an hp4600 printer and a DSL modem connected to a netgear router. We switched to a cable modem and we can no longer print. The computers can see each other and both have access to the internet. We did reset to modem in the process and now the IP address on the router and the IP address on the printer are different. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Assuming you recabled correctly, no change to the modem could effect the ips on the lan.

Only way that could happen is if you RESET THE ROUTER and its default ip plan is not the same as it was. Netgears usually are in the range of 192.168.0.x.

What is the ip of the printer now?
What is the ip of the pc now?

The printer IP is 10.0.0.50 (we got this by printing the configuration page on the printer)
The router IP is: 192.168.1.3

I know they are different and I'm pretty sure this is why we can't print. I just don't know how to change the IP address on the printer.
Thanks

You go into the menu on the display. Get to network setting and change the ip to something like

192.168.1.254
255.255.255.0

I don't recommend putting gateway entry in since it is not required.
