Comment:

Networked an XP host to a 98 client.
All files and folders are visable from each comp.
On the client machine am unble to save changes on a document because they are "read only files".
On the host machine when I attempt to uncheck the Read Only box in the file properties dialouge and apply it, it will revert to a read only state again. No manner of attempts has proven successful.
Otherwise all is well including ICS.
Any ideas will be appreciated.

On the XP machine, are you logged on with Administator priveleges?

Yes I am, this apparently is an issue with XP and wondering if a fix other than a CMD function is out there.
Thanks
