I currently have goldmine (customer management software) installed on my main computer with windows XP operating system. I have a network set up with another computer located downstairs. On the main computer I am trying to map the z drive to the goldmine folder on the network. When I click on the goldmine folder and try to click ok, the ok button becomes grey and I am unable to choose this option. I received minor tech support from goldmine and they said this is a network problem. I right clicked on the goldmine folder and enabled file sharing so I know this is not the answer. Any suggestions as to why I cannot map the goldmine drive? Thanks for your help!

I did try doin this and I received an error message. Tech support at goldmine said it was a network issue and they could not assist me. He mentioned something about permissions not being set right or something like that, but I dont have any idea what permissions are. Anyways, if you have any suggestions please let me know.

What does that mean if I dont have access? Do I need to change something in the network settings? Could you please elaborate? Thanks

I have never accessed any goldmine files from computer #2 on the network. However, I am able to map a drive from computer #2 to the shared goldmine files. However I cannot access them because I cannot map computer #1 (the main computer w/ golmine installed) to the goldmine files! That is what im tyring to figure out...why it will let me map on computer #2, but not on computer #1. It is my undrstanding that it will work if I can get both computers mapped to the goldmine files on the same drive.

As far as access goes, I have access from both computers on the network, and goldmine runs fine from computer #1.

Any ideas?
