Solved question re ip addresses

Specs: Windows 7
how many types of ip address are involved in the process of webbrowsing? internal external...blah balh...the lot are they different in function...etc? a little contect would be nice :)

So you have a home work assignment! I usually don't do home work. You have an internal address if your PC is behind & router & not in the DMZ. The rest are external, to you at least. You have no idea how the web server is connected to the net. It generally has an external address but could be NATTED. One never knows.

There are public IP addresses and there are Private IP addresses. There are Class A, Class B and Class C IP addresses,

Armed with that information and an hour or two on Google and you will know all there is to know about IP addresses.
