I have many 3com token ring cards with RJ45, BNC, and serial connectors (16/4 ringnode cards) will these work with cat5 and a hud/router for ethernet.

Generally token ring cards need special hub called a multi-station-access-unit(MSAU or MAU). The ones you have may be multi functional(ie able to be used with UTP or coax for ethernet, not enough detail given-ie part numbers) have you been to the 3com site and had a look there for the card specs?
