We have a small Network with win2000 server. we do have a watchgurad Firebox. I have only one Public IP address that is external.All the workstaions have private IP address. Now, a company wants to install software for us but they want the two workstations to have a public IP address. When I give Public IP address for the two workstations, they can not communicate the local network or the outside Internet.help how to configure

when you say public ip address do you mean dynamic. the difference is static would be an assigned address that you or the administrator has configured. dynamic would be a assigned ip.

he means that he has a network of computers that have private ip addresses. However, the company wants two pc's to have their own ip addresses from the isp, but that will bring the pc's out of the network.
Have you tried right-clicking the nic network connection, and setting up the "alternate configuration" page? From what I gather, it allows the computer to connect to two different networks...
What kind of software wants two pc's with their own ip?
