My question is this...
My boys are wanting to connect their Playstation 2 to the internet. I know I can connect from the wireless router to the PS2 with a cable but it's too far away to run a cable. However, they have a PC in the same room that is connected to the network wirelessly. Can I run a network cable from the existing network jack on the PC to the PS2 and receive internet?
Im pretty sure I can't but thought I'd ask.
Thank you.

Yes you can. Google Internet Connection Sharing or put it in the PC's help and support for the step by step how to. You will need a crossover cable to go from pc to ps2
Imagine the power if you knew how to internet search

Yea, the searching I've done mostly said that I would be better served buying a wireless converter that will receive then split the signal to the PC and PS2.
Using the crossover cable to share the signal is just going to slow everything down.
Thank you though.

You are misinformed. Folks have been doing what I suggested as standard operating procedure for years. Wireless at 11/54mbps is slower than wired at 100mbps.
If you want to go wireless from the ps2 you need a game adapter like this:
http://compnetworking.about.com/od/...which connects directly to the router wirelessly not the pc and ps2. How is it [the pc] going to connect to both if you are connected wirelessly to the router from the pc? Think about it.
Good luck on your "converter" LOL
Imagine the power if you knew how to internet search

Capitalize your lol's all you want, I'm not trying to compete with your Geekdom.
You obviously win ;)Anyway, the computer is already wirelessly connected so how am I going to get 100 MBPS to the PS2 thru a wire from the PC receiving 54?
What others (who have also done this) have said is that the Buffalo Wireless Converter will receive the network connection wirelessly then share it among the PC and the PS2.
Im not running any wires, I thought I would with the crossover until people convinced me the PC and PS2 would be sharing the 54 MBPS that the PC is already receiving.
You never mentioned a standard operating procedure, what you told me to do was search... nothing more. Asking here is part of my "search".
As far as the PC connecting to "both"... it doesn't need to. I'm lost on your question.
Anyway... unimportant... See ya.
