I want to be able to set up a proxy server @ home and be able to access at any
computer in the world..ect..All most ever where U can access the internet They
got firewalls blocking all the good sites..The sites that I am interested are for
programming and development purposes.
I want the server to run @ port 80, cuz they don't block that port. And I want to be
able to have a password on the account that I make up.
I guess that means I can't use Http proxies.I will have to go with Socks 4 & 5. I
been able to use LinkByte proxie server to run a Sock 5 @ port 60000 but I want
to be able to run it @ port 80.
Is it possible to run socks at that port? And when I try to set it up at port 80 i get a
bind error, or something like that.
So if its possible to do this, just take the time to sit in front of ur computer and post
a reply.

I doubt that you can do it. Usually port 80 is not a regular open port but the ISP handles it in a different way where it appears to be open but it is controlled. I saw some interesting comments a few days ago on a BBS. I cannot remember where.
