Protocol routing in 1 network with 2 gateways

January 4, 2012 at 08:52:34
Specs: IOS c870-advipservicesk9-mz.124-24.T4.bin
I have 2 gateways, a Cisco 877 and a Cisco 878 in 1 network.
Gateway 1 is and gateway 2 is

My clients are static configured and they have gateway 1 as default gateway.

To control the bandwidth I would like to route some protocols through the 1st router and other ones through the 2nd router. e.g. port 1494 (Citrix) through gateway 1 and all the other protocols through gateway 2. Or e.g. port 80 (http) and 9100 (printing) through gateway 2 and all the other through gateway 1. Is this possible? If it is, how can I configure it into my Cisco's?

You aren't asking about protocols but ports.

Can't see this happening since Windows is only going to use the listed gateway for anything beyond what is local traffic.

There is a program called forcebindip that would allow you to bind a program to a interface/ip but this would require two nics in each pc.

Answers are only as good as the information you provide.
