Comment: First post hope its in the right place!!! My problem is that when i tryed to run limewire the program it killed my connection, fair enough. I uninstalled it accepted my fate. However I then tryed to use Azureus the bit torrent program only to find this also kills my connection. My connection just drops out. The weird thing is they both ran the first time i used them after that not good. I run a dial up connection on a USB modem, and have NO firewalls or anything like that not even an anti-virus, and Kazaa Lite works fine. Is there something both these apps do that Kazaa dosent, is it something to do with my port setup?? Please Help so frustrating.

Reply: (edit)killed connection via usb modem may be caused by network traffic congestion. as u have no anti-virus or anti-spyware or firewalls ... u ought to check the connections made to/from your pc. and, start installing some security apps into ur pc immediately.

Reply: (edit)Thanks for replying. by check my connection to/from the pc what do you mean? Because my internet works fine until t and i do have anti-spyware etc and they all reported clean results. What I meant to say is that they are disabled when starting the applications so are not the reasons why my connection is killed, or cant connect to these networks.

Reply: (edit)There are number of reasons that your dial-up connection can drop. One of them, could be that your line is too congested that the modem give up and drops the connection. Try to run netstat -an to see the listening and established network connections in your PC. If the network connections are minimal, then there must be some other reason that cause the line to drop.
