Modem: Motorola SURFboard SB5101
Router: Netgear MR814

For nearly the last year (maybe even longer), the computers, 2 PCs (XP Professional, Home) and 1 MacBook Pro (OS X), connected to the internet network at my house have been having problems loading certain webpages. The 2 PCs are connected to the router via ethernet cords, and the Mac laptop is connected through wireless. I didn't look into this earlier because I thought it was a temporary problem and left for college soon after. I've been back for a couple of months now, and the problem is still here, so I'm finally looking into it.

Some problems we've experienced:
-Attaching files to e-mails on Yahoo! mail
-Sending e-mails through Gmail
-Loading the Gmail page (half the time)
-Uploading photos onto Photobucket.com
-Uploading photos onto Wordpress.com
-Loading/launching Gunbound (a game)
-Updating Facebook profile
-Other things that don't come to mind right now.

For all of the problems listed above, the page would start loading but never finish loading.

I know it has to do with the internet connection here and not so much the computers because when I use my laptop elsewhere, I don't experience any of the above problems.

Also, when we disconnect the modem from the router and connect the modem directly to one of the PCs, everything works. So I'm assuming the problems exist because of the router.

I poked around trying to find a way to solve this... The Netgear site said that it's probably due to viruses on the computers, so I just ran McAfee, Spybot Search & Destroy, Ad-Aware, and Ewido to get rid of everything I possibly could on the PCs. I also ran ClamXav on my MacBook Pro.

However, after getting rid of all found items and reconnecting the router, the problem is STILL here.

Does anyone know what could be causing this and how I can stop it? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like your router is going bad.

You could try doing a firmware upgrade on the router, but if that doesn't work, you'll probably need to replace it.
