Comment:

I encounter a strange problem with WinXP Networking.

There is no problem when I set the network manually, but ALWAYS have problem with the WinXP Network Setup Wizard. The problem is that the WinXP PC (after the Wizard) can see and ping everyone else on the network, but no one can see or ping the WinXP PC (The firewall is disabled and no anti-virus program).

I tried to remove the network setting and the network card from Hardware manager and manually restore the setting, but it couldn't solve the problem. Looks like M$ did something funny on their wizard.

I wish if anyone knows a way to undo the WinXP network setup wizard. It happened a few times that I always have to end up reinstall the whole WinXP (some idiot in my company likes to click on the wizard...).

Are you using DHCP on your network?

Nope, they are all static IPs.
