I have a really odd problem I think..I have a cable modem, my friend told me its a good idea to get a firewall if you have a cable modem, so i did, i got one called zone alarm pro..this was all working fine until friday morning, i came down and restarted my computer, my i opened up zone alarm i received some kind of notice saying there was a new network or something and that I had a new ip..i clicked ok and didnt think anything of it well since then, my internet connection has been shaky, it is always connected, but now i can't get on certain sites that i always could before, i know this is because of what happened with zone alarm, i also sometimes have trouble logging onto aol instant messenger, i have to play with options and settings on zone alarm to be able to sign on, i do this by toggling my network zone from internet to trusted, and back to internet again, sometimes i have to do it a few times before it will let aim sign on, i have tried this tactic to get websites to work also but it doesnt work, i have done everything i can think of with zone alarm..and also when i try going on websites without zone alarm open I get the same problem, any help would be appreciated..I can get onto SOME sites but not all, this is really starting to annoy me

Uninstall Zone Alarm and reinstall it. That should wipe out and strange settings.

Uninstall ZA then clean registry to remove any traces of ZA then only reinstall the ZA to come to the solution
