Guys I am experiencing an extremely weird problem.Yesterday while online my computer got restarted on its own and on returning to desktop i found that all my network connections had been deleted on their own.When I went back to create a new connection I noticed that even my lan cards were not being displayed.
This despite the fact that I have two lan cards on my pc and both were enabled in my device manager window.
When i tried refreshing the network connections windows it said that it was unable to find any connections and asked me to check whether my network connections option was enabled.

I even uninstalled the lan cards and reinstalled it the drivers and yet i cudnt see my lan cards in the network connections window.Can anyone tell me why this may have occurred.I am unable to connect to the net from my pc because of this problem

I even scanned my pc for viruses using avg and kaspersky and yet nothing turned up.

Can someone please gimme any suggestions on what to do.

I cant use the system restore option as i had it switched off till this problem occurred

Look in the event viewer. There maybe something there.

I forgot to ask you. What good was the anti virus scan if you couldn't update the .dat files before you ran it?
