I was just helping my friend "clean up" his pc using Remote Anywhere. We ran Adaware and it found 40+ pieces of spyware which we removed. Upon rebooting he has lost his DSL connection. I can't ping him, we tried reinstalling TCP/IP, resetting the DSL modem, but no dice. Any suggestions? Thanks Gary

If he's using XP it might be worth trying a System Restore.
Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore.
Select a rollback date (one before the spyware removal) and let the computer do its stuff. You won't lose any work or anything.
