am trying to set up a network....I have one Blueyonder broadband connection, 2 PCs both with NICs and all connected into a hub using 3 of them ethernet 5 cables or watever there called

now the one PC is connected and working fine, but the other PC is not working.

Both NICs are working fine (device manager)
All leads are connected and working due to the correct lights on the hub.
Both have LAN connections that are enabled and running ok as shown by the little notification in the system tray.....

Still the other PC is not working.
So i went to run > cmd > ipconfig /release then did ipconfig /renew and it came up with this message
"an error occured: unable to contact your DHCP server request timed out"
so im stuck, it seems like all i need to do is for DHCP is to assign me an IP so i can then go on the net

Any ideas cuz its really bugging me

Did you set the first PC up as the HOST? (ie; the one working)
The PC that connects directly to the internet modem is the one that will have to be the HOST.
It will provide the DHCP service for your network.
Basically just run the network setup wizard in "My Network Places" on the HOST machine and make sure you tell it how it connects to the internet and then the wizard will see that all the other PC's have to connect thru it so it will install ICS.
Reboot when finished.
