Problem with default gateway on laptop

Specs: Windows Vista
I cannot get internet on my laptop anymore and it keeps telling me that my network gateway is not working. It says the router is fine, but I have no internet access how do I fix this problem.

How are you connected to the router, wired or wirelessly?

Check, whether you got a valid ip address, by using ipconfig /all.
Therefore, open a command prompt (click Start / Run and type CMD then click ok).
In the command prompt window type:
ipconfig /all

You should hopefully see an assigned ip address of 192.168.x.x.
Best is, you post the output of ipconfig /all here for review.
