My problem is about a printer connected on a station Windows 2000 in network. The stations under win 98 does not see it any more but however when all the stations were under 98 whole were ok.

Why and how to regulate the problem?

Well, that is because you have to install windows 2000 additional drivers as well. In the settings of the printer conencted to the server, check the box related to drivers for WIN 98. ( but that seems strange for me. I have never had this problem with that windows )

ANyway, if you needed further assistance, please send me an email.

Hi Alizera,

I finally succeeded in regulating the problem. It was the share name of the printer which counted too many characters.

As regards the drivers, model WDM of Windows 2000 makes it possible to use the same drivers on Win 2000 and Win 98.

I appreciated your intervention much, that enabled me to make research and to learn more about drivers.

In the world of data processing, it is an essential thing to share its knowledge.

Thank you very much and excuse me for my poor english language lol !
