Hi,

Does anyone know how to get external IP?
My pc lies on LAN, and our proxy server does a IP mapping so that My internal IP is different from the external IP.

When I tried to use those online tool to get my external IP, they always provide me the proxy server's IP. However, I know that when I connect to ftp server, I will be able to find the exact external IP.

Please, does anyone know any tool to help me get the external IP?

Thanks,
GM

your external IP addresses are assigned to you by your ISP. why do you need an external IP anyway. it's a bad idea to expose PC's on your LAN to the internet.. thats why you have a proxy..

what external ip do you need. You can assign your pc to any ip but it would n't work until you are in the right subnet. You can not get out if you are in the wrong subnet. Your router won't route you out, dude.
