Hello there,
I'm having problem connecting a workstation to the server. The problem goes like this... I'm using an old NE2000 compatible network card on a new Pentium Celeron 633MHz PC with Gigabyte motherboard (GA-6VXE7 + VIA Apollo Pro Family AGPset). And the OS I'm using is Window 95. The network card driver is successfully loaded into the system, however, the PC kept prompting the error message saying that there is no domain server to validate the password even though I've configured the network configuration correctly.
Is it because the network card is too old that's why it cannot connect to the server? But on the other hand, that old network card has been used before on an old PC to connect to the server successfully.
I've tried running on Window 98 SE but the same problem still occur.
Here's my PC spec.:
Pentium Celeron 633 MHz
Gigabyte motherboard
Trident Super VGA Display Card
NE 2000 network cardPlease help me to solve the problem. Thank you.

Hum... I can take a shot at it, but no garantees.
You netoworkcard should be a problem, cuz I use those in my network.
Here is what to check...
1) Right Click On Network Neighborhood.
2) In the Configuration tab, select Client for Microsoft Network.
3) Click on PROPERTIES button
4) UNCHECK the box that says: Log on to Windows NT domain.
That should be it... restart and the message should be gone. Good Luck!

Opps... damn!
I just read what I wrote... what the funk?!
Sorry for my spelling...I meant to say your networkcard shouldn't be a problem.
Good Luck! =)
