Six days ago my internet connection on my Dell suddenly just stopped working. Luckily, I have a laptop that gets wireless and I've been trying solution after solution with no luck.
My computer is sharing a connection with two other computers using a router. The two other computer's internet connection is fine, but mine can no longer access to the internet. I found some help on http://www.onecomputerguy.com/netwo... I tried ipconfig in cmd and it shows that my computer can connect to the internet, because I pinged for google and its ip address. but when I use IE7 or Firefox, I get nothing. Steam can't connect either.
I don't really know much about troubleshooting network and internet issues, so right now I'm stuck. I've already tried everything in the Help and Support center and still have not resolved the issue.
Any suggestions is welcome. Thank you.
Also, if this is of any help, my Dell also cannot connect to our home network with the other two computers. Its been like this since last year's reformat. The internet was fine however, until six days ago.

What is the ip address scheme of the that machine and what is your ip address scheme of a the laptop that is working? To find that information, open up a command prompt and type ipconfig /all Then post back whether or not DHCP is enabled on both, as well as the ip address, subnet, gateway, and dns. In terms of the pc's not being networked ever since you reformated? Did you ever rejoin the domain/workgroup depending on your situation?
Post back and then we can go from there.
