I have a desktop running vista 64bit. It has an HP Laserjet 1020 printer connected that is working fine. I have two laptops, a dell and gateway, both with Vista 32bit. They are connected to a wireless network and back to my desktop. I have added the HP 1020 printer to each of the laptops. It prints fine with the Gateway, but not with the Dell. When i print from the dell, the print job shows in the que as printing, but nothing prints. If I restart the desktop, at the end of the restart, the document in the queue then prints...but a new print job from the dell laptop doesn't, just as before. Does anyone have any suggestions?
The firewall settings are the same on each laptop as are the network settings.

Review in the laptop print driver advanced tab things like the printing format [raw and use winprint] also see if you have print after last page spooled. Change to print immediately.
Otherwise I would reinstall the print driver on the laptop. What you describe is like the laptop isn't sending an end of file marker to tell the print queue its done sending.

Alternatively, try the following steps on the problem computer and see if that doesn't get it printing properly:
