Is your hp printer a networkable printer?
Is the satellite connection via a wireless router?

If you want to network that printer you would need to buy the jetdirect print server.
You would configure the printserver for a ip address and wire it to your router. Printer would connect to the printserver.
Install the printer drivers on the laptop and then configure the printer port to that of the one you setup in the printserver for the printer. You could then print from your laptop to this printer.
