I have a home network working between my main computer and my laptop with the exception of my printer. I want to print from my laptop thru my network to an epson printer connected to my main computer. I have Norton Internet Security, AntiVirus, and SystemWorks 2001 installed on my main computer. All works with exception of printing from my laptop to my main computer printer port.

first thing what OS? second you must of file and print sharing installed up networking on both machines. i would get rid of norton except anti-virus but thats just my personal prefrence. on the main computer make sure you share the printer out. do you have these computers on a hub or switch? main thing is to make sure that they both can see each other on your network and you can ping them. also on the main computer norton security might also be the problem. it blocks access like netbios and ip. question if you have a dial up connection to the internet you dont really need norton security. but if you have dsl or cable it a good idea.

Just wondering, did you install the printer driver on the laptop, too?
