i have a ADSL router that i have to share with 3 pcs and 3 xboxes. in order for me to receive internet i have to type a username and password. i was trying to use a d-link 8-port switch but then i have to use my username and password 6 differnt times. typeing the username and passord isnt the biggest problem. my isp only lets my use my username and password twice... i live in a remote area of wisonsin, my isp is my local phone company which is wwt.net. i talked to my isp and they wont allow me to log in more than twice, unless i pay three times more for my six logins.

so then i tried to use a USR 4port wireless router in conjuction with my switch. this allowed me to connect PPPoE once and then distribute the connection... GREAT except for i lost about 250k of my connection and would frequently randomly drop connection. So for xbox live, this isnt working. i tried to upgrade the firmware on the USR wireless router but, i have the latest version that is over a year old. i know i lost about 250k of my connection because when i connect one PC directly into the ADSL router i have a nice and fast connection.

i hope i havent been to confusing, and i thank you for any advice you may offer.
