Hey, guys. I have a problem.
I'm not sure if it's connected to FireFox 3 or not - but I thought that I'd mention it because the problem occurred shortly after installing (upgrading from v2 rather) it.
Okay - I had v2 installed - everything worked fine. My connection speed is normally at 21.6 kbps - and has been for probably a good year without trouble or variation. A reliable connection.
So I upgraded to FF3 from my v2 installation - and everything went just fine - for about 3 days. I could connect like normal (21.6 kbps) and pages never timed out.
Then, after the third day or so, when I would turn on the computer and connect to the Internet (before opening FireFox), I was connecting at 16.8 kbps - after disconnecting and trying again...sometimes it will vary between 16.8 and 14.4.
Pages are now timing out after only an hour of being online.
I had a telephone company tech come out and inspect the lines - he said he couldn't see a problem.
I contacted AT&T's dial-up Internet department - they tested their server and couldn't see a problem on their end.
All of my modem and Networking connections are fine as we went over these with the Internet Technician.
So they're sending another guy out again to check the lines.
Do you guys think that the Firefox 3 installation could have messed up my Internet connection? :(

You're not the first to have that problem. Search Google for:
