Someone else has to be having this problem: I'm using Windows 2000 Pro for my server (internet via cable modem). I have several clients in the house that are all running Windows ME. I'm able to browse the internet fine from all computers however my client systems can't do some functions that my host can. For example, file transfers in MSN Messenger, full-duplex audio in online games and I can't host an online game. I've read several articles online about a fix, the ICS configuration utility, but it doesn't work with Windows 2000. Supposedly I'm able to adjust the ports in Windows 2000 without the utility to make everything work but I'm having a difficult time. Microsoft's support on this tells me that I have to adjust the ports but doesn't give me a walk-through and I can't figure it out. Some sites suggest that I use NAT but I was unable to install it? I loaded all the Microsoft components in the ADD/REMOVE software and I wasn't able to find it. Is there a site besides www.praticallynetworked.com that further explains how to do this and get it to work? How do I go about mapping the ports so my client knows to go through the server and do what I want it to do?
Sincerely,
gbenn@twmi.rr.com

Yeah, if anyone gets an answer for this, could they mail me also!
Cheers,
Jon (jon@digital-explosion.co.uk)

I'm having exactly the same problems and even with NAT I couldn't get it working. I can't find a really good explanation with examples on how to map ports within ICS in W2K Server. Please someone, help us!!!! (Please e-mail me as well, n.v.vreeken@stud.tue.nl)
