Hi, I recently changed from a 56k dial-up connection to a 1mg adsl router/modem. Since doing so i havent been able to using various file sharing programs i have. I get the same error "unable to connect to tracker- timeout exceeded" or "unable to connect to tracker -urlopen error - getaddrinfo failed 11001". I have tried everything including configuring ports thru my xp firewall (the only one i use). I also tried to use port forwarding thru my d-link router/modem advanced settings web page and when i have finished inputting all the necessary info to create a nat rule i get an http error "501 - method not implemented. My isp provider here in nz says that to use port forwarding i need a static ip address and to get one f those i need to pay and join a business plan and yet whenever i check my ip address its the same. Can anyone tell me what i am doing wrong? thanks in advance for any help.

This is the link for router set ups for Shareaza. It might be helpful.
There is a site ("Brians") which gives very specific instructions for each router by model, but I have not been able to locate it by Googling. If nothing else is successful, download Azureus (bittorrent) and it does list this site in it's help section.

I have tried all these things and i still have issues, it looks like i cant create an outbound connection, i can do straight forward downloads but i cant activate download managers from within my pc to download something (like adobe acrobat) for example. What would block out bound traffic like that. I cant connect to msn either.
